Ruan Tang

Mantra from Our Heart

Let the sound slows you down and escape from the reality. Take the opportunity to connect with your inner soul. Enjoy nothingness and through this nothingness, reflect, relief and rejuvenate.

What is a Sound Bath?

A sound bath is a meditative non-intrusive; non-religious practice that involves listening to the therapeutic sound and overlapping vibrations from traditional instruments such as Himalayan singing bowls, crystal bowls and bells. A sound bath by Neil Chua also includes a unique fusion of the mellow humming of the Chinese traditional music instrument ruan 阮.

It is believed that these sound and vibrations can lead you to a state of calm and relaxation thus reduces the body’s fight-or-flight reflexes. Sound baths are safe and often used to help with stress, fatigue and is effective in reducing anxiety, depression symptoms, burnout, insomnia and may improve mood and release tension in the body.

More than often, just one session of sound bath can make you feel more rested, relaxed and less anxious. With time, it can help to improve your sleep, clarity and making you more resilient to challenges.

Our certified practitioner trained in sound bath musical techniques will then use one or several instruments to create the soothing vibrations bringing you into a restorative state of self-healing.

About the practitioner

Neil Chua is the first musician from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music to receive a Master’s Degree in Music - ruan. Through his passion and involvement in cultural music, he earned a place in cello maestro Mr. Yoyo Ma’s Silkroad’s Global Musicians Workshop where international musicians learnt from one another’s traditions and incorporated them into their own artistic voices.
